Humans have always constructed objects to add both beauty and utility to their lives.
When the useful life of these once desirable articles is over, they are discarded and left to deteriorate. During this process, these objects can then take on colours, shapes and textures not originally intended by their makers.
These images are details of these discarded and decaying objects. In some, the original object is still discernible; in others it is no longer recognisable, just leaving abstract shapes and textures.
I have always enjoyed looking for images in these often ignored objects, and take delight in capturing their hidden beauty.
